About the Game

Blackjack — also known as twenty-one — is the most widely played card game in the world. The goal is straightforward: draw cards whose total value comes as close to 21 as possible without exceeding it, while beating the dealer's hand. Hit to draw another card, stand to hold your total, double down to go all-in on a strong starting hand, or split a pair into two separate hands.

No real money, no gambling — just the pure strategy and decision-making that has made Blackjack the defining card game for centuries. The browser version delivers the full experience: standard deck rules, dealer behaviour, and all classic player options — coming soon to GameZone as a free online game, no download or account required.

Game Mechanics

Each round begins with a bet. Player and dealer each receive two cards — one dealer card is face down. Number cards count at face value; face cards (J, Q, K) count as 10; Aces count as either 1 or 11, whichever benefits the hand. The player acts first: hit to draw, stand to stop, double to double the bet and receive exactly one more card, or split identical-value cards into two hands.

After the player stands, the dealer reveals the face-down card and must draw until reaching 17 or above. If the dealer busts (exceeds 21), the player wins. Otherwise, the higher total wins. Ties (push) return the bet. Optimal play decisions — when to hit, stand, double, or split — are well-defined by basic strategy and can be learned progressively.
